IRISH Buddhists are setting fashion trends across the Atlantic.
LV BraceletThe Jampa Ling Centre in Bawnboy, Co Cavan, is selling hand- crafted scarves, slippers and handbags in high-end boutiques across America.
Its members run a programme in Mongolia which allows poorer women to use their craft skills to earn money.
A nun at the centre, Tenzin Choeden says they import the craft work from Mongolia and sell it on behalf of the women.

Choeden said: "There are seven Irish people and one Spanish person living here in the centre.
"The people in Bawnboy are very supportive of what we do here, we have very good connections with people locally.
"We want to be seen as a spiritual aspect of the area and not something strange.
"There is a wonderful Catholic priest in the village and he is also very supportive."
