Bag It Up, the textile recycling partners of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, has placed a new textile bank in the car park at Sainsbury's, Shorehead.

It will be used for donations of unwanted clothes, paired shoes and household textiles to help raise much needed funds for the 'Keep It Up' Campaign - the innovative fundraising partnership between Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Town launched the 'Keep It Up' appeal in March 2009, to actively raise funds throughout the 2009/2010 football season.

For every pounds 1 raised, Town will donate 50p to the YAA and 50p will go to their own Youth Academy.

As an independent charity the Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies solely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to raise pounds 7,200 per day to keep both air ambulances and highly trained crew in the air.

Linda Ridgewick, of Sainsbury's, said: "We are delighted to have the big yellow 'Keep It Up' clothing bank in our car park.

"We are hoping that when our customers come to do their weekly shopping, they will also take the time to clear out their unwanted textiles and shoes and donate them to this fantastic Yorkshire partnership".
